For over a decade, we have been the go-to experts for strainers across diverse industries. From daunting chemical processing to delicate pharmaceutical pipelines, our unwavering commitment to precision engineering delivers reliable performance and lasting value.
Strainers find applications in various industries where the removal of solid particles from fluids is crucial to maintain equipment efficiency and protect downstream processes.
Strainers are used in water treatment plants to remove debris, sediment, and larger particles from raw water before it undergoes further treatment processes.
In chemical industries, strainers are employed to filter out solid impurities, preventing damage to pumps, valves, and other sensitive equipment. They play a critical role in maintaining product quality and process efficiency.
Strainers are used in the oil and gas sector to filter contaminants from hydrocarbon fluids. This helps protect downstream equipment, such as compressors and turbines, ensuring smooth operation and preventing damage.
Strainers are utilized in the food and beverage industry to filter liquids, removing particles that could affect the quality and safety of the final product. Sanitary strainers are often employed in these applications.
Strainers are installed in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to capture debris and sediment from the circulating water, preventing clogs in pipes, valves, and heat exchangers.
Power plants use strainers to protect critical equipment like pumps and condensers from impurities present in cooling water. This ensures the efficient and uninterrupted generation of power.
Strainers are employed in the pulp and paper industry to filter out fibres and other contaminants from pulp slurries, helping maintain the quality of the paper production process.
In pharmaceutical production, strainers are used to filter liquids and remove particles that could compromise the purity of medications and other pharmaceutical products.
Strainers play a role in the mining industry by filtering liquids used in mineral processing to remove solid particles, preventing equipment wear and ensuring efficient processing.
These applications demonstrate the versatility and importance of strainers in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of various industrial processes across different sectors. The specific type and design of strainer chosen for a particular application depend on factors such as the type of fluid, particle size, flow rates, and system requirements.
Basket strainers are essential filtration devices installed in pipelines to remove unwanted particles from liquids or gases. They consist of a perforated cylindrical basket housed within a pressure vessel, effectively preventing debris from damaging sensitive equipment or clogging downstream processes.

Advantages of Basket Strainers |
1. Efficient Particle Removal : The design of basket strainers allows for effective removal of a wide range of particle sizes, contributing to enhanced system performance. 2. Low Pressure Drop : Properly designed basket strainers offer low pressure drop, minimizing the impact on overall system efficiency. 3. Ease of Maintenance : Removable baskets simplify maintenance activities, reducing downtime during cleaning or replacement procedures. |
A duplex strainer consists of two filter baskets or elements. Each basket can function independently of the other. In normal operating conditions, fluid flows through one of the baskets while the other basket remains the standby. This allows continues filtration without interrupting the process. Duplex strainers are provided with isolation valves that allow operators to divert the flow between the two baskets. This is useful during maintenance and cleaning procedure. When one basket becomes clogged or requires cleaning, the flow can be switched to the standby basket without stopping the overall process.

Y - strainers are designed to be installed in a pipeline. The strainer body has a Y shape configuration, with an inlet and outlet aligned at an angle. The strainer element is positioned within the Y shaped chamber. The strainer element can be removed for cleaning or replacement without dismantling the entire strainer. Y strainers are designed to minimize pressure drop in the fluid system.
